Well, here we go again! We have baby number two coming in March! I’m 18 weeks pregnant as I’m writing this post (although these photos are from a few weeks ago) and feeling pretty good! First trimester was a little rough for me this time around with mood swings and feeling sick so I’m VERY happy to be feeling better this trimester!
Gender
I did the blood test at 10 weeks to find out what we’re having (because I have no patience) and found out we’re having another BOY! I initially WANTED another boy because I wanted MJ to have a bff (they’ll be 3 years and 2 months apart), but I seriously thought I had a premonition early on that I was having a GIRL. Then I got excited about having a girl and basically designed my whole girl nursery in my head and thought about all the cute girl clothes I’d buy haha. Guys, I was seriously so sure I was having a girl that I almost went ahead and BOUGHT a few girl clothes! Everyone else thought I was having a girl too because my pregnancy was so different in the first trimester than with MJ (I never got sick with MJ). When I found out I was having a boy I was shocked and I hate to say it but a little sad! I’ve had to get used to the idea of having a boy again and now I’m back to being excited. Especially for MJ to have a buddy!
Disclamer: the above photo was taken a couple weeks even before my family photos, and my belly is much bigger now! I just love this stretchy dress as a maternity dress and will link it below!
Pregnancy
If you guys remember, my last pregnancy my biggest complaint was how much weight I gained! I gained 65lbs and weighed almost 200lbs when I gave birth. I felt so huge and it took me a full year to get all the weight off! I was super self conscious about it at the time and didn’t hardly post any pictures of myself at the end of my pregnancy and was so worried I wouldn’t lose the weight. Now that I know I can lose it, I want to be a lot more open about my weight gain on our blog because I feel like all you see on instagram are skinny girls who are 9 months pregnant and barely have a belly! I do also want to be a lot more careful with my eating this pregnancy and hopefully not gain AS much weight, but whatever happens I’m going to try my best to be proud and happy with my body!
We decided to do a little gender reveal involving MJ, and here’s a little video Sid put together from the night we found out! My outfit details from the photos above are also linked below.
